ADVANCED OR NON MEDICALLY SUPERVISED GROUPS AVAILABLE

 

Advanced groups are made up of patients who have completed the Heartbeat  Rehabilitation programme.   Programmes that  take place outside Pond House are organised by the patients themselves.   The Groups that operate inside Pond House are organised by Heartbeat and  referred to as Non Medical Groups.  They are conducted with an exercise instructor but without medical staff being present.

Non Medical Groups in Pond House  have available a defibrillator if  needed, and the instructor is also qualified in First Aid in the Work Place.   There are 15 groups at Pond House in this category plus a further 3 based at Fulwood Leisure Centre (No Defibrilator available at Fulwood Leisure Centre).
